Fine Arts Credit in Visual Arts - Fine Art Preparation

Fine Art Preparation is a foundation course that allows for exploration of historical and cultural art trends, as well as skill development in drawing, painting, three-dimensional design, and visual communications. The art elements and principles of design are applied to compositions and processes involving a variety of media. Upon completion of this course, the student should demonstrate competency in handling drawing, painting, and sculptural media and be prepared for further study in upper-level art courses. Home assignments and a sketchbook are required. Successful completion of this course earns one required Fine Arts credit.
