Military Family Welcome Center

Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) is home to approximately 3,000 military-connected children and their families, with most parents/guardians serving at U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Ground. HCPS understands the challenges military-connected families may experience with frequent transitioning from one installation to the next. For military-connected children to have an equal opportunity for academic success, HCPS implements the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children, ensuring that school personnel (school counselors and those responsible for registration) are able to respond to the common concerns that affect military-connected children as a result of frequent moves and deployments.

Parents must live in the school attendance area of the school in which they plan to enroll their child(ren). Use the School Locator to help determine your HCPS attendance area. Parents/guardians can find information about how to register their child(ren) for school at our Registering for Schools page, and information about individual schools is available at our Schools page (under School Information).
