Title IX

The Board of Education of Harford County does not discriminate on the basis of sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that it operates, as required by Title IX and its regulations, including in admission and employment.

Inquiries about Title IX may be referred to HCPS’ Title IX Coordinator, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, or both.

HCPS’ nondiscrimination policy and grievance procedures can be located at our procedure. To report information about conduct that may constitute sex discrimination or make a complaint of sex discrimination under Title IX, please refer to Title IX Student or Employee Resources.

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal civil rights law that prohibits sex discrimination in educational institutions that receive federal financial aid. Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) is committed to providing a safe, secure, and orderly teaching, learning, and working environment free of sex-based discrimination, including sexual harassment, for both HCPS students and staff.

School Psychology Services
