In preparation for the 2025-2026 school year, the following information and forms require distribution and/or signature from families.

REQUIRED Forms/Documents for ALL Students:

  1. 1. Parent/Guardian Permission Form: The Office of Accountability requires all families to complete this form annually. This year families must complete the form electronically. For families who cannot complete the form online, schools will have hard copies available upon request. The deadline to complete this form is Wednesday, October 15th, 2025. After this date, responses will default. 2. Student Device Agreement and Protection Plan The 2025-2026 Device Protection Plan will be provided to each student and added here when it becomes available.

    3. Students and families should review the 2025-2026 Parent-Student Handbook. Familiarize yourself with new Harford County Public Schools policies, specifically changes made to the Portable Communication Device Policy, Bag Policy, and Dress Code.
  2. Immunization Records: Check with your health care provider to be sure your student’s immunizations are up to date. Contact your school nurse if you need assistance. For additional information, visit the HCPS Health Center on our website.

In addition to the above requirements,

Students who QUALIFY, should complete the following:

  1. 3. School Meal Assistance (Free and Reduced Meals - FARMS) :
    Apply online for the 2025-2026 school year at myschoolapps.com. A new application is required each school year. Paper applications are available at schools or can be printed and returned to either the school or Harford County Public Schools Food and Nutrition Services at 101 Industry Lane, Forest Hill, MD 21050.
    Note: Approved FARMS applications also qualify your student for the device protection plan.
  2. 4. HCPS Transportation: Bus stop and route information for the 2025-2026 HCPS school year is scheduled for release on Monday August 19, 2025.
    Is your child riding the bus for the first time this year? Create a bus plan!

OPTIONAL for all Students:

  1. 5. Student Accident Insurance: Board Policy 02-0023-000 requires student accident insurance to be made available to all students. Information on how to enroll is available online. An explanatory letter with enrollment information and a link to the vendor website for insurance purchase is available in English and Spanish.
  2. 6. Before and After Care: Families can find information about before and after school care here.
