ZOOmobile visits George D. Lisby Elementary School at Hillsdale
Spiders, snakes, and penguins, oh my!

On October 23, second graders at George D. Lisby Elementary School at Hillsdale were in for a real treat as the ZOOmobile paid them a visit.  The ZOOmobile is an outreach program of the Maryland Zoo that brings the Maryland Zoo to Title I students in Maryland for free.

During the ZOOmobile visit, students met Cholula, a Mexican Redknee Tarantula; Winnie, an African Penguin; Eartha, a Gopher Tortoise; and many other residents of the Maryland Zoo!  Students discussed the habitats of the animals shown and observed firsthand their physical characteristics!

Lisby Hawks surely enjoyed this unique experience!
