The Assistant Superintendent of Business Services oversees the day-to-day finance, budget, procurement, risk management and food & nutrition services to support the faculty and staff of the Board of Education.

The Finance Office is responsible for payroll, accounts payable, grants and functional support of the financial enterprise system. The group prepares fiscal information for the Superintendent, Board of Education, schools, offices, County and State fiscal authorities and the public related to the actual financial performance of the system. This includes managing the external audit in order to produce the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

The Budget Office is responsible for preparing, managing, and monitoring the operating, restricted, food service and capital budgets for HCPS. The office prepares fiscal information for the Superintendent, Board of Education, schools, offices, County and State fiscal authorities, and the public.

The Procurement Department consists of the Procurement Office and Distribution Center. From textbooks to pencils, millions of dollars in commodities that touch the lives of each student are purchased every year. These commodities extend beyond the classroom to the buses that transport students, the facilities that shelter them, and the food that nourishes them.

The Risk Management Department is committed to contributing to a safe learning environment for students, a safe workplace for employees, and a safe place to visit and volunteer for our community.

The Food and Nutrition Department manages all aspects of school food service. The Department's primary purpose is to support the educational process and community through the provision of convenient, economical and healthy meals for students.
